Recorded in: Site News — Isyldar @ 10:45 am Cavern Time

I have more or less got the KI Images section looking presentable, and is therefore mostly usable. Any questions, comments, complaints, either air them here, or e-mail me.

If you need an account so that you can upload your KI Images, please let me know so that I can get you set up with one.

Much to Consider

Recorded in: Izy's Journal — Isyldar @ 9:31 am Cavern Time

It would appear that there is much to consider at the moment. Going through the various forums, I have noticed that we are definately running into “too many voices” being both the boon and the bane of our existence down in The Cavern.

Right now, we have two sides of the argument going on: Yeesha vs The DRC. Many are on Yeesha’s side of things, seeing that the restoration by the DRC will not bring back what used to be D’ni. Many others also see the DRC as being the driving force behind what has got us down into The Cavern; they are the ones who have made our visit here possible.

I myself find that I am on the fence. There is this other character in the mix now: Dr. August. He seems to be yelling on the rooftops that the DRC needs to stop restricting us; that they are doing little more than completely hindering all of our exploration efforts.

I do grow concerned that this fracturing in the community that I see, is going to, as someone else put it: end the expedition once more before it truly begins.

So what do we do?

Destruction is coming…

Recorded in: Izy's Journal — Isyldar @ 12:30 am Cavern Time

Yeesha has told us “destruction is coming”, and we do not yet know how. Or are we seeing it happen before our eyes?

Very recently, both Tweek and CAGreywolfe resigned as liasons to the DRC. Dr. August is roaming around the city trying to gather followers for…something. Members of the Great Tree hood seem to be developing a following of their own for one thing or another…and as Nadnerb has put it, “The old URU community seems to be falling apart.”

Is this what Yeesha meant? The explorers’ community will fracture? If so, it would seem that she’s quite right. I think that it is happening, and as in any community that grows and expands exponentially, it is inevitable.

So where does that leave the restoration? What does the future hold for the explorers of The Cavern? Good questions.

Latest Happenings

Recorded in: Izy's Journal,News Journal — Isyldar @ 9:36 pm Cavern Time

There is little for me to write about today. The concert hall foyer and the Kings Hall (or Palace Alcove) have been officially opened. We have yet to see whether we’ll get the rope bridge spanning the canyon back up…but I expect that will come soon enough.

I will note however, that there seems to be a fair bit of discussion over this Dr. Autumn or August, I can’t remember what his name is. Seems he’s trying to stir something up with us explorers in the Cavern. Will have to remember to stay clear of him.

Egg Room Test

Recorded in: Izy's Journal — Isyldar @ 6:54 pm Cavern Time

We got enough people in there at one point, though i can’t be 100% sure that all doors are closed, because once the doors are closed, local and voice chat are cut off.

Lyn’et got PM confs from everyone that all doors were closed, so I would assume that they were.

That said, the doors are on timers. They only stay closed for so long.

Also discovered that they suffer the same “bring you back to open the door again” phenomenon that some of us have experienced with the Kadish Gallery doors.

So, if we did in fact get all the doors closed, we weren’t able to determine that that did anything. It would be best tested by fice people from the same hood, who could use Neighbourhood chat to converse.

That said, I think that’s how we need to test this.
