Copied from the official Under the Roots! website…

[…]”Under the Roots!” is a party for all Uru explorers.

Up On the Roof! Returns, as Under the Roots!
August 24 in Uru Live’s Watcher’s Pub.
Start time is 8PM Eastern, 6PM Cavern, 5PM Pacific.

Getting there: We use the Watcher’s Sanctuary now because there’s no easy public access to the Tokotah Rooftop. Go to the Maintainer’s Nexus from any Nexus terminal or the book in your Relto. In the intial display you’ll see a list of City locations, with the Watcher’s Pub near the bottom of the list. Click the name, push the Nexus button that pops up and then use the book.[…]

All Guilds Meeting

Recorded in: Events — J'naem @ 8:17 pm Cavern Time

There is a gathering of all the URU Guilds. This I heard from Zedra, but I know little about it.

Here is what I do know:

  • It is to be hosted by Montgomery
  • It will be held in Kirel
  • The Relayers will be present. (I think.)

Copied form the MO:UL forums

After several very productive conversations with Guild Advisor, Reteltee, he and I agree that finding common goals and working together to pave a common foundation for the five new guilds and all future guilds should be an important first step.

So far, those explorers who support the Messengers, Writers and Maintainers have been gathering on various forums in sometimes heated and always productive debates and brainstorming sessions in an effort to invent these new guilds. And their efforts have yielded many positive results. However there already exist in the cavern fully-developed Guilds of Cartographers and Greeters, whose experience and wisdom should prove vital to helping the other guilds invent themselves. Here is an opportunity for members of these guilds, and exlorers interested in helping to invent these guilds, to come together and share ideas, successes, and advice.

Day of Dancing

Recorded in: Events — Isyldar @ 11:33 am Cavern Time

Courtesy of UberThend of The Puzzlers, it would appear that we are going to celebrate a real D”ni holiday: The Day of Dancing! :)

Information on the original purpose of the holiday is seemingly scarce, but it’s believed the D’ni recognized this as the day their home world, (Garternay, I believe), was destroyed.

At any rate, if things follow through, there will be 24 hours of music to listen and dance to.

I will keep you posted with info on other happenings.

— Isyldar Saaren

This may be a little late, but better late than never. :)

Music stream:
It’s a day of dancing, so there’s music for 24 hours!

Recorded in: Events — Isyldar @ 7:02 pm Cavern Time

Well, as a result of their (Nad & Robert’s) discoveries on measurements and KI Coordinates, Nadnerb, Robert, and I have been invited to a PUZZLERS meeting in MoonlightShadow’s Kadish.

Looks like Robert can’t make it at the moment, so Nad and I are off! (I think he’s gonna do most of the talking.)

Episode 7: Familiar Voices

Recorded in: Events,News Journal — Isyldar @ 5:32 pm Cavern Time

As quoted from the Myst Online: URU Live (MOUL) “Coming Soon” page:

The newly-elected Díni Restoration Council (DRC) releases its first Age – Jalak. Though Cate Alexander has been elected to lead the DRC, there still remains a power struggle within the Council and it begins to spread throughout the cavern. Also, rumors of a war continue to grow as a voice from the past returns to offer new hope.

The never-before-seen Age of Jalak will be released. Jalak features an ancient arena that was once used for Díni competitions and will allow Explorers to compete and even create their own games.

They have posted this as happening in “Late July”, so I’m going to update the date to the 21st. (I’m being optimistic, perhaps.)

However, I’m excited. The images they have posted on the site make the new Age, “Jalak” look very interesting. And it is also interesting to note that we’re going to be getting back into Kirel soon.

Episode 6: A New Light

Recorded in: Events — Isyldar @ 10:27 am Cavern Time

Expect to see Er’cana released, and more information on the Bahro war. As well as some supposed “Power shifting” within (or possibly without) the DRC. It appears that we will finally get the chance to start restoring the lake algae, most likely with the resources in Er’cana.

DLF Bevin Open House

Recorded in: Events — Isyldar @ 4:08 pm Cavern Time

According to their forums, the D’ni Linguistic Fellowship is hosting a weekly open house in their Bevin for those wishing to join up, just hang out, or discuss interesting linguistic-y things.

The DLF have now posted this on their main page, and there’s a new page dedicated to getting in touch with their members if you would like to get to the hood and it doesn’t show up on the M1 Nexus list.
